In the third-place match of the 46th African Club Championship held in Casablanca, Red Star OJA from Côte d’Ivoire showed resilience and skill to claim a respectable third place in the continental tournament organised by the Confederation Africaine de Handball (CAHB).
After falling short in the semifinal against hosts Montada Derb Sultan, Red Star regrouped and delivered a strong performance in the bronze-medal match against FAP Yaoundé (Cameroon), earning victory and the third-spot on the podium.
Despite not reaching the final, Red Star’s campaign throughout the tournament — including group-stage and knockout successes — demonstrated the club’s tenacity and potential on the African handball stage. Their bronze finish adds honourably to their continental record.
Congratulations to Red Star OJA — third place at CAHB 2025, and a proud achievement for Ivorian handball!
